Louisburg Junction Supper Club
Review
Ambiance
The interior feels more like a deli than a true supper club. While there are minimal unique decorations, the space is very clean and well-kept.
Relish Tray, Salad Bar and Soup
The salad bar had fresh vegetables and a variety of dressings, along with options like potato salad and cottage cheese. The soups, however, were very salty and lacked flavor. No relish tray was provided.
Drinks
Their Old Fashioned flights were disappointing. One of the drinks even tasted like Kool-Aid. We were so looking forward to a normal variety of Old Fashioneds, but instead the flavors were unusual and inconsistent, ranging from overly sweet to strangely flavored, failing to deliver the classic cocktail experience.
Meal
We ordered different variations of cod for dinner, both hoping for a classic supper club fish experience. Unfortunately, one piece of fish was extremely fishy and inedible, and no replacement or alternative was offered. The other piece of broiled cod was overcooked, dry, and very basic, lacking seasoning or any special preparation. The sides, such as coleslaw and potatoes, were standard but unremarkable. Desserts were all store-bought, and while the ice cream drink was okay, it added little to redeem the meal. Overall, the dinner was disappointing and failed to meet typical supper club expectations.
Service
Service at Louisburg Junction Supper Club was excellent, thanks to our attentive waitress. She was friendly, professional, and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable throughout the meal. When she asked the manager to give a credit for the uneaten, inedible fish, the manager refused, but she handled the situation politely and professionally, trying to make the experience as pleasant as possible despite the setback.
Final Thoughts
Louisburg Junction Supper Club was a disappointing experience in terms of food and drinks, despite its high online ratings. However, the exceptional service provided by our waitress was a bright spot that helped make the visit more enjoyable.
