Nestled amidst the Northwoods charm of Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin, lies a true gem: The Bear Trap Inn.
Ambiance: They have a neat bar with TVs, intimate tables with nice personal touches. When you walk in, it looks like the quintessential supper club, with warm wood paneling, cozy dining room, and a welcoming bar that invites you to relax and enjoy your dining experience.
Salad and Relish Tray: No salad bar or relish tray, but your meal has the option to come with soup or salad. Salad was large and fresh with excellent dressings. Upgrading to the wedge salad was definitely worth it.
Meal: We started with the scallops which were fresh and buttery. I almost felt the bacon and the amount of sauce took away from how good the scallop was. For dinner we ordered the bluegill special, garlic filet with cauliflower mash, and the chicken schnitzel.
Everyone thought their food was exceptional and with very large portions. I ordered mushrooms and onions with my filet which came in their own individual crock. In sampling of all three, would order the chicken schnitzel again as my #1 choice.
Service: Our service was great! Quick, friendly, informative, and efficient.
Final Thoughts: Of the local area supper clubs, this one is by far our favorite so far in the Land O Lakes area. They do take reservations which is a plus.
